Review of RoboCop (1987) by Johnathon W — 17 Jan 2014

Ground-breaking film that on the surface seems your standard sci-fi, but thanks to a smart script, brilliant direction from Verhoeven and a solid cast of great character actors, it ends up being so much more.

Deftly moving from a corporate satire, human drama, sci-fi and, for my money, one of the best superhero films ever made, this film works on so many levels its astounding (all in under 2 hours as well).

A true classic, which makes one wonder, why would you remake it?
