Review of RoboCop (1987) by Kj P — 15 Feb 2014
Down to it's bare bones, "Robocop" (1987) is a classic in every sense of the word. Although the film has been known for it's cheesiness and violent action, that is the last thing that I focus on, because not only is the film an awesome action movie, but the heart behind the character of Alex Murphy is pure greatness.
I love every second of this film, and even though some of the effects are dated, you can forgive them, because it is such a masterly crafted picture. The story of a man who dies and is able to come back to serve and protect his city in robot form has it's odd and dumb feel to it, but the way the Peter Weller portrays his character is what drives this film to stardom.
I love "Robocop"!
