Review of RoboCop (1987) by Will L — 26 Nov 2014
'RoboCop' is a near-perfect action picture that is drenched in both gore and social satire. Peter Weller plays the film's messianic titular character with commendable conviction, cementing RoboCop as one of the coolest sci-fi protagonists of all time.
Most importantly, as much as I love the ultra-violent, and often darkly comic, action sequences, it's the brilliant skewering of American consumer politics that helps this movie to remain a timeless action classic.
