Review of Robin Hood (2018) by Landon V — 23 Nov 2018
This film, despite a (mostly) talented cast is a bit of mishmash of the medieval setting of the origin story with modern sensibilities, tactics, architecture and ideas. Marianneï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)s accent is on-again off-again like a Taylor Swift relationship.
Swords and any hand weapons are apparently unused by these knights and guards and Ben Mendelson is hard to take seriously as a dangerous ruler who fought his way up from poverty. This movie doesnï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)t know what it wants to be.
I went in with high hopes and was disappointed. The beginning narration asks you to ï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2forget what you knowï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2Â? well after this film youï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)ll also want to forget what you just saw.
