A refreshing take on Robin Hood, not only because it's more serious, but because it actually does follow the ballads somewhat. There are several variations of Robin Hood that were written in medieval times, one of them included this one.
This isn't "inaccurate", it just takes a focus that isn't all that popular. If you don't like long, historical fiction movies then don't watch this. I do, and I think it was done brilliantly.
