Review of Road to Zanzibar (1941) by Byron B — 08 Jul 2008

Okay movie in the Road series starring Bob Hope and Bing Crosby as two guys who make a bunch of money in a carnival act and managed to get conned by Dorothy Lamour to take her on an African safari. There really aren't that many laughs in this movie, I think it tries to focus too much on the plot, and then when the laughs finally do come near the end, they're too over the top and they have nothing at all to do with the plot.

Entertaining start though, but I just wish I laughed more.
