Review of Road to Perdition (2002) by Faizan N — 12 Oct 2010

Alright, so I wanted to watch this again before writing a review as it had been a while since I had seen it. Man, this is a great film. The directing is some of the best I have ever seen with some of the greatest filmed scenes in a movie.

Coupled with great sound design and an amazing cast this is an absolutely amazing story. However, there were a few instances that really took away from the experience for me. Without adding any spoilers, there are a few comedic reliefs and unnecessary scenes that made me realize that I was watching a movie and not a part of the experience.

I truly believe this could've been a poetic masterpiece without these pitfalls.
