RKO 281 was a pretty fun look into the details leading to the release of the highly controversial masterpiece of American cinema "Citizen Kane". Of course the actual movie was better, as I have read, but the actual movie was better than 99.9% of the thousands of efforts since. The movie had some humor and some drama, but kept the two in a pretty believable balance. Very good performances by Schreiber and Malkovich and, really, everyone else. Cromwell and Griffith were very watchable as the couple in the spotlight and I might even say that Griffith was excellent. I am interested to see how accurate this was. My rating will go down a tad if it was not mostly based on fact. I would really get it if details were changed because surely enough facts exist to make this story interesting..
