Review of River's Edge (1986) by Mike T — 16 Jan 2010
OK...how can you compare this small budget Indie flick to all of the greats (Casablanca, Godfather, etc.) and have any integrity? IMO because of the dialog. When you have a screenplay writer who takes a real life story -AND- delivers character development and lines so PERFECT and entertaining, you get one of my top 3 films not due to production, cinematography -OR- direction -BUT- screenplay, with acting coming in a close 2nd here.
I watch this movie once a year since it came out and it never disappoints. For that you owe me a six'er...Thomas-.
