Review of Risen (2016) by Carroll H — 06 Feb 2016
The movie starts off with a very somber tone. Just another day in the life of a Roman Prefect (Clavius), which just so happens to include a few tasks related to the daily crucifixions. Constantly being summoned by Pilate to make sure that the stories about Jesus' resurrection are not believed by weak-minded people.
But as Clavius continues his investigation, he finds it increasingly difficult to disprove what he sees. There is also unexpected humor in the midst of very believable acting. This is an excellent movie to see a different side of the resurrection story.
