Review of Risen (2016) by Damon S — 13 Mar 2016
A very good flick from the viewpoint of the Roman empire about the socio-political ramifications of having Jesus Crucified and His Body not found. A good bit of action for a Religious flick. The acting was quite good.
The casting was great. Pilate's portrayal was very well done. A moving and well though out woven story which lines up with the Gospel. Mary Magdelene's portrayal was rather stereotypical. Though the other characters were portrayed respectively well.
Funny to think that the main character played "Martin Luther" as well, always the faith questioning roles. A Moving movie that is a great treat for a Christian this Lenten season.
