Review of Risen (2016) by Anna S — 23 Mar 2016
It does a good job of trying to reach every type of audience. Those who like violence, those who like drama, history, mythology, etc. I liked it because of this and you have to look at it from the perspective of Joseph Phines character; as a believer and non-believer.
We all can't explain the mysterious nature of God. Or the influence of a positive (though be it difficult, but still good) relationship with Jesus. This is the struggle for the main character. We all were taught the significance of Jesus' life.
Whether we all accept it, is one's own personal journey. Seek answers and you'll get the significance of Jesus for YOUR life. That's the theme I got. One star shy of perfect is because it was a bit long.
