Review of Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) by Luis R — 18 Jul 2013
It now feels like there have been a dozen Planet of the Apes films. Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Battle for the Planet of the Apes, and now Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Although, I began the film with scorn and doubt.
.I finished it with awe and surprise. Rupert Wyatt directs RPA with a cool haunting feel attached to it, that is only intensified by Andy Serkis. Im not sure how CGI really works but what I do know is that the character of Ceasar is mysterious, powerful, clouded and intriguing.
It's what makes RPA exceptional.
