Curiously, not a prequel to The Planet of the Apes (just piggybacking onto the franchise to give it a familiar identity, it seems), this is a cautionary sci-fi yarn about developing super-intelligent apes in the lab.
A decent storyline and impressive GCI combine to produce a watchable, if predictable popcorn movie.
