Review of Rise of the Guardians (2012) by Brian B — 27 May 2013

I'm on the fence here. Creative movie all in all, and I'm all for celebrating imagination. What bothers me is selling of belief as panacea....the subtle truth is that wonder comes from discovery of what is real...and so a fantasy tale is awesome in that we and kids can laugh in amazement and yet walk away knowing it was a fictitious story.

Imho, storywise, Pitch Black should have been defeated as he realizes his role could be an amazing one, being the darkness yet to be discovered nestled between the stars.
