Review of Rise of the Footsoldier (2007) by Pinklama R — 23 Apr 2009
The first half was an interesting and entertaining story of footbal hooliganism and the rise of a man from fottball fan to bouncer to gangster. The sencond half I didn't really care for, I don't really see what it actually had to do with Carlton Leech and why he's a legend. It just has him at a bar drinking telling his mates not to do stupid drugs deals that they do anyway.
The characters had no weight or real importance and their relationships were thin to the core. The violence in this film was bloody and excellent but the rest of it was just fluff.
