Review of Rise of the Footsoldier (2007) by Christopher W — 05 Jun 2009

Very graphic, violent movie about how a football hooligan turns from brutal sport-related violence to becoming a brutal bouncer who progresses into brutal crime muscle violence.

I wouldn`t recommend it if you`re squeamish and though it`s interesting, it soon diverts from following the main character and tells us about how his friends become rowdy, randomly murderous jerks.

I liked how they put in the true life videos into the movie and in general it was long and a bit plodding but not terrible or boring. If you like the TV series Underbelly, you`ll appreciate this film.
