Review of Rise: Blood Hunter (2007) by Chris H — 12 Jun 2007

I loved this movie. This statement may seem contrary to my rating; however, I cannot rationalize giving it more than a single star. Rise: Blood Hunters is a wonderfully awful film. The plot is inconsistent and contrived, and the dialogue nonsensical at best.

However, the film seems to be fully aware of this and make up for such glaring flaws with a copious amount of gore and nudity. Amazingly, this combination made for a hilarious and enjoyable film. Go in with low expectations and perhaps inebriated and this film is well worth the six dollars.

If you are expecting a masterpiece or something of merit, look elsewhere.
