Review of Rise: Blood Hunter (2007) by Fernando B — 11 Mar 2010

What an odd assortment of actors in this low budget but high production Vampire flick...the info above says it is 94 min but the version I watched is 122 min....the only reason to see this is Lucy Liu.

..seemingly everyone around her has forgotten how to act and it is no wonder with a horrendous script they had to follow...my other gripe is the "daywalking" going against traditional Vampire lore as well as the sign of the cross being made directly on a Vampires forehead to bless her with no effect at all.

..yikes!...Lucy Liu is great & this could've been worthwhile in more ways than just seeing her naked and covered in blood for the majority of the film...but, again, with no supporting actors showing any talent.

..falls apart quickly when anyone else enters a scene...I liked it :).
