Review of Rise and Fall of Idi Amin (1981) by Femi R — 09 Apr 2008
Saw this when I was quite young & it scared me senseless. A chilling & gripping tale based on the real life of former President of Uganda, Idi Amin. His brutal reign, erratic behaviour & murderous nature.
The movie provides an insight into the life of a monster in human clothing. Idi Amin has been dubbed the" Hitler of Africa", a title which he duely deserves, for he not only acted in "Hitler-type" fashion(i.e. persecuting Jews & even his own country men), but also idolized Hitler & continuosly sang his praises.
