Review of Rio 2 (2014) by Rômulo C — 12 Jul 2014
A weak follow up to the original surprising hit. The animation is good, but the over-the-top use of 3D effects is characteristic of a sequel reaching for something that it isn't. The humour is light and the plot meanders as widely as the Amazon.
Even the larger than life character of Nigel cannot quite drag this sequel into life.
