Review of Riding Giants (2004) by Lauren M — 01 Sep 2008

The jaw-dropping visuals do much to up the cool factor of this highly entertaining documentary, but the larger-than-life big wave surfers give this film its soul. Even a non-surfer is going to come away impressed and inspired by these surfers' attempts to wrangle and harness some of the biggest raw power in nature.

Watched this one on a whim and am really glad I did. A great one to save for those dreary November afternoons just around the corner, but will be thoroughly enjoyable anytime you check it out.
