A simple movie that I saw not understanding a word... all subtitles. Excellent acting by Ken Takukura - the film hangs on him, and he does the job. Funny at times, heart wrenching at others. Overall, an excellent movie.
And one where Zhang Yimou doesn't make you sad for no particular reason.
