Found this in a book on the civil war and american memory for a paper I was writing. it was on a list of top civil war movies so I figured with this great cast (mostly unknown a the time) i'd check it out.

turns out this movie was great--realistic portal of the choices that made americans join each side that were not as clean cut as often suggested....
