On paper, this movie sounds interesting. A good cast, an interesting moment in history, and a solid director.
It is, however, one of the dullest movies I've seen in awhile. None of the characters are particularly interesting and the ones that are never given their fair dues. I mean, a black man fighting for the South? THAT should have been the movie. Maybe great for playing clips for a history class, but not entertaining at all.
Oh yeah, and Jewel is in it. She's not terrible, but the song she sings for the credits sure is.
