Nicholson wrote this movie and stars in it. it's directed by monte hellman - who directed one of my all time favorites "two-lane blacktop". a case of mistaken association with some criminals, leads 3 cowboys to flee for their lives and ironically forces them to commit criminal acts.
a pretty good film.
