Review of Riddick (2013) by Jacob T — 09 Jul 2014
This continuation of the first two films is, in my opinion, right about in the middle of the two. The first one "Pitch Black", was my least favorite, and the second one, "The Chronicles of Riddick", was the one I liked the most.
This third film had aspects of the first movie, while succeeding in making a better plot than Pitch Black. "Riddick" picks up where Chronicles left off. We start with Riddick searching for his home Furia, and then, (not-so) ironically, we end with him in the same place.
Its almost like a side trip from Riddick 2 to Riddick 4. Therefore, it is the conclusion of one Riddick trilogy, and the beginning of a new one. (Yes, they are making three other ones.) While reminiscent of the first film "Pitch Black", it was still another interesting story of the furious Furion known as Riddick.
