Review of Riddick (2013) by Joseph V — 28 Jun 2016
Of all the Riddick movies, I think this one was the least exciting. I have always liked Vin Diesel and he does not disappoint in staying with his typical Riddick character style as he did in the first two Riddick movies.
This was not the movie I thought it would have been. Being the third movie, I thought this would have really been a great movie and would have had a lot more action. The problem is that it took way too long to establish his current whereabouts, and how he got there, etc.
They could have done that in the first few minutes and then concentrated more on the story for this particular movie. Of the three movies, I think this had the least amount of action. It wasn't a bad movie, but wasn't great ether.
If you are a Riddick fan, I would definitely recommend it. If not, you may or may not like it. The planet scenes were pretty good and if your an animal lover, you'll think it's great since Riddick has his own dog he raises from a pup and has as a pet through most of the movie helping each other.
I do hope there is a 4th movie somewhere along the line in the years to come because I do like the Riddick series. I just really hope they put a lot more action in the next one. This series truly has potential, but DO NOT make it like this one.
Make it more like the 1st and 2nd movies combined. THAT would be a good Riddick movie.
