Review of Riddick (2013) by Alexis C — 28 Jun 2016

This was the best Riddick Film to date. The directors cut explains much more than the theatrical release. Unlike many lame directors cuts containing deleted scenes that simply stunk, ruined the pace of the film, or were simply redundant,the restored footage makes the film BETTER.

Other movies like Aliens, Seven, Blade Runner, and Once Upon A Time in America had great scenes cut that made it onto BLU RAY/DVD releases. Without the extra FOOTAGE these films were lacking...Even if you've never seen the others you can enjoy this film as a STANDALONE.

Then you can go back and watch the others. If you listen to the dialogue it's not hard to guess at what's going on. Good special effects, lots of action, decent performances from a decent cast make this a good film.

Not GREAT, but definitely entertaining.
