A huge disappointment. After the chronicles of Riddick left the story of Riddick open and full of possibilities why did they go for this? The entirety of the story can be summed up with this: Riddick betrayed by bad guys in previous film, Riddick announces his position to mercenaries, mercenaries come to kill/ take him, scorpion things come to kill all of them so they work together to get off planet, some people you don't care about die, Riddick gets off planet.
It's basically pitch black without a story or characterisation, even the action scenes get boring after a while. Couldn't recommend it to anyone really.
