The first part of the movie feels like watching someone else play a cool pc game based on Pitch Black; not particularly satisfying; like artificial sweetener. Later characters are introduced but are a bit too caricatured, particularly the stereotypical butch lesbian character.
Has much entertainment value, but scenes and characters are not as rich or diverse as those of "Pitch Black" or "Chronicles of Riddick".
