Review of Riddick (2013) by Dark E — 05 Mar 2014
Riddick has its moments- such as a scene stealing CGI dog. As an avid fan of the series though, the movie seemes like it was at a cross-road. In its "Back to basics" approach, one never feels Twohy creates much of new scenarios for Riddick.
Instead, they revert back to using some evident Pitch Black reference(s) I won't spoil. Overall not horrible, but its simply a movie not knowing how it or the franchise should proceed and that's why the lack of direction for it is frustrating.
