Vin Diesel starts in the latest chapter of the Riddick franchise. The film brings what most Riddick fans should expect. Brooding science fiction action syncopated with survival, terrifying creatures, and more space bounty hunters.
However, there is absolutely no progress in the story-line. It seems just like another planet where Riddick must outplay the nasty environment and outwit his cocky counterparts. The film is good but doesn't try to bring anything new to the table.
As a fan of the series I was a bit disappointed but relatively enjoyed the film. A fair film.
