Review of Ricochet (1991) by Steve W — 12 Jul 2010
This film is so much better than it deserves to be. So ridiculously over the top it would make Jack Hill blush. Earl Talbott Blake is a man out to wreak havoc on the former cop (now D.A., played by Washington)who put him away years before.
Better than a guilty pleasure could ever be. John Lithgow delivers a performance of such villainous scene-chewing aplomb as Blake that you'll have difficulty seeing him as any other character after watching.
This film embraces the schlock and turns it on it's ear for a hell of an enjoyable ride.
