Review of Ricki and the Flash (2015) by Monica S — 07 Aug 2015

I so wanted to like this but it's quite a mess. Considering Diablo Cody wrote the screenplay, there was really no solid story. And a lot of implausibility that couldn't be ignored. I love Meryl and, even in this slipshod film, she had a few shining moments.

But overall I just don't see what drew her to do this; aside from the talented names connected with it.
