Review of Ricki and the Flash (2015) by Rochelle H — 10 Aug 2015

Enjoyable? Absolutely. A bit of a mess? Yep. It's got good acting (Mamie Gummer and Meryl Streep are awesome together) and a fun musical background. But it's unfortunately weighed down by a hodgepodge of storylines all hastily crammed into one movie.

The movie would start with one really solid premise and then jump to another premise without going back for closure. It seemed a little half-assed that way. Sure, it was a fun time and I do recommend it as a good mother-daughter flick (I had a fun mom-daughter movie date), but it's not going to absolutely wow you in any way.
