Review of Ri¢hie Ri¢h (1994) by Andre P — 15 Nov 2008
Clearly the best in the series. The characterization and plot structure are superb, the best since The Godfather. I'm surprised this didn't sweep the oscars, I mean Culkin is pure gold in this, such a lovely child actor.
Van Pelt is the second best thing in this film, Hyde is probably the greatest actor of our generation. I'm not sure I can praise this film enough, what director Donald Petrie did here is magnificent and he goes on to direct the equally great "Welcome to Mooseport".
I mean, Richie is the richest kid in the world, he has it all, who wouldn't love this film? It connects with you on a fantastic level. Before this film, and after this film, there will be nothing greater.
