Richie Rich has heartwarming moments, a few funny moments and benefits from having Jonathan Hyde playing the butler but the movie suffers from a poor performance from Macaulay Culkin, even if it isn't entirely his fault, rather unrealistic characterizations and being quite generic and dumbed down.
I didn't hate this movie, I just found it to be utterly forgettable with a couple of pointless scenes, mainly some egregious McDonalds product placement.
