MGM musical starts out brightly but loses steam toward the end; Jane Powell and Vic Damone (in his film debut) introduce the Oscar-nominated song "Wonder Why?" and French star Danielle Darrieux is lovely and performs an amusing duet with Fernando Lamas to "We Never Talk Much.
