Review of Rhapsody in August (1991) by David N — 09 Nov 2007
An under appreciated film by Kurosawa. This film ignites strong emotions in the viewer and contains some great moments. It is also very reminiscent of "My Neighbor Totoro" by Hayao Miyazaki in its setting and issues.
Not Kurosawa's best but a very admirable and intimate effort.
