Review of Rhapsody in August (1991) by Robert E — 21 Jul 2009
While not anywhere near the top of the list of my favorite Kurosawa movies, this was still interesting enough. Although definitely more of a film for the Japanese and their way of dealing with the fallout from Nagasaki, it still holds some universal truths.
I was a little confused as to what you were supposed to be feeling at the end... also Richard Gere was only in this for like 10 minutes, there is no way he should have top billing.
