Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Savannah H — 04 Dec 2011
Revolutionary Road is a film that allows the King (Leo DiCaprio) and Queen (Kate Winslet) of overacting (respectively) to spend an entire film yelling at each other (you know, pent up emotion from Titanic).
In that regard, it's perhaps most surprising that this painfully drab film is at its best in the waning 40 minutes where all we get is wonderful, indisputable silence. Who would've thunk it, but apparently Kate and Leo are at their best when they finally shut up.
Go figure.
