Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Jonathan P — 06 May 2014
As The World Turns meets Mad Men.
Extremely well acted by the leads, perfectly toned and decorated, realistic in its endeavors, kinda melodramatic, but overall simply not my thing.
I love a good drama, but I find this mundane, humorless, and frustrating. They go from fight to fight with occasional bouts of depression and anxiety. And cheating. -eyeroll-.
This may be more real than soapy, but it's certainly not entertaining.
Not to me.
It reminds me of an acting class, and I could barely take it seriously.
I imagine that those who like this find it relatable - to me it's sad and boring, no matter how authentic.
