Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Wingy — 15 May 2012
I think I liked this movie so much because I read the book first and absolutely loved it. it was cast fantastically close to the descriptions set by yates, with the story told in a way that also mirrors the book to a T.
the simplicity and selfishness of the characters is both annoying and honest--life was different in the 50's but people weren't. it's interesting to see a moment in time so associated with squeaky-clean musicals and leave it to beaver depict real people being really flawed.
