Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Mark M — 12 Apr 2012
I am giving this movie 4 stars on the sheer power of Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio's performances alone. Both were absolute powerhouses! Leonardo DiCaprio in particular was raw and intense like I have never seen him.
His eyes were so expressiveas the emotionally drained married conformist father, craving the acceptance and love of his wife. I would not be at all surprised if both leads get nominated for another Oscar (and maybe they will finally win this time!).
And Kathy Bates was just fabulous in her supporting role as the nosey, pushy realtor.
