Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Stephen H — 21 Mar 2012
Excellent performances from DiCaprio and Winslet, as well as a brief role for Michael Shannon as the mentally disturbed son of the neighbor who sees the emptiness and hopelessness in this suburban existence.
The pressures and expectations of this life are captured well, even if the brilliant inner-monologues from the original novel are not able to be translated to the screen. What is unspoken by the leads says it all.
