Review of Revenge of the Creature (1955) by Ryan V — 05 May 2017
This sequel to Creature From The Black Lagoon finds another team attempting to capture the Gill-Man. This group succeeds, and the beast is then confined to an aquarium for study, exhibition, and experimentation.
One of these "experiments" is to display food to the Creature and then shock him with a cattle prod when he ignores commands to not take it. Naturally, everyone except the audience is surprised when the Gill-Man freaks out, escapes from his prison, and starts killing humans.
The novelty of the first film has worn off, but Revenge of the Creature is still a fun and somewhat corny treat for vintage horror buffs.
