This film is essentially the Japanese answer to the Matrix, which is sort of like comparing a glorious symphony performed in St. Peter's Basilica (the Matrix) to a scratched mix CD playing in your friend's basement (the Returner).
Still, just like that scratched CD, Returner is both silly and fun!
