This movie seriously took me aback. I did not expect it to be that good but I was sobbing uncontrollably by the end. Despite knowing how it ends, I still have that same reaction every time I watch it. Incredible performances from all.
"Brokedown Palace", released the following year, was a pale imitation of the same theme.
