Review of Return to Oz (1985) by Justin R — 20 Mar 2008
A polarizing movie, either you really hate it or, if you're smart, you really love it. :) A nightmare version of the Oz we saw with Judy Garland, this time, no cute munchkins and no singing. It's pure non-stop adventure where Oz has been frozen and in the clutches of the nefarious Nome King and the Yellow Brick Road is torn up.
Brilliant film, horrific, even though it isn't suitable for children, really. If you like evil magic and dark fairy tales, this is for you. -Dex.
